(Historical) development of the school management and its influence on the development of the education system in Kralovice

The Master's thesis deals with the history of education system in the Czech Republic and with the school management as closely related to the issue. The main focus is put on the historical development of the education system and its management in the town of Kralovice, West Bohemia. The aim of the thesis is therefore to demonstrate the gradual development and changes of the system in connection with the development of the school management within the mentioned territory. In particular, the most significant reforms and events affecting the education system are analysed in the study. The comprehensive view on the general development of the system and its management produced by the thesis can be beneficial for the pedagogical and administrative employees of every management level as well as for the local teachers, students and inhabitants of Kralovice.
Administrative Libraries at Ministries of the Czech Republic

The work describes existence and activities of administrative libraries at ministries of the CR. After definition of administrative library concept and overview of legislative and historic background, questions are released that should be answered by library workers. Afterwards, description of individual libraries and survey of established data follows. They include organizational position within the ministry, contact address, number of workers, location of the library, services for employees and the public, size and contents of collection, and other tasks fulfilled by the library within the ministry. The final chapter comprises an assessment of established facts about the current state of administrative libraries at the Czech ministries and suggestions to make the activity more effective.
Further education of civil servants

This diploma thesis deals with the area of further education of civil servants at the level of the central government and its aim is to critically evaluate further education at selected departments in connection with the introduction of Act No. 234/2014 Coll., which came into force on the 1st January 2015. The thesis describes how the Civil Service Act influences the further education of central government officials, it outlines the key issues that are related to the education of central government officials and shows what are the problems that central government officials encounter in the field of further education. The research project is the case study, which included public policy documents related to the topic of further education and data collected through in-depth interviews with ten officials of two selected departments and two representatives of the human resources department, was used. Based on the thematic analysis, key issues of further education of central government officials were identified: educational needs, meeting educational needs, sources of information retrieval, and a official exam. Problems encountered by central government officials in the field of further education are part of these issues.

The thesis deals with the processing of subsidy policies to support the activities of organizations working with children and youth. The work describes grant programs some ministries, higher territorial governments, municipalities and other donors. It also defines NGOs and their division. The work defines interest and informal education. The thesis contains tables and graphs with distributed financial amounts and numbers of people in different age categories. One of the chapters deals with the instructions for the preparation and submission of the grant application.

Mobile Web Accessibility of the Public Administration Institutions

When we are creating web pages it is important to think about accessibility. It does not matter if it is for normal user or user whose is using assistive technology. Especially if we are talking about public sector web sites which provide important information and have idea of accessibility stated in the public notice. The aim of this thesis is to check if nowadays practices accept idea of one web and its accessibility. Check will be aim on the services and information provided by Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic. Procedure stating the idea of accessibility is 7 years old but technology is still improving. Because of that it is really important to find out how current practices accept idea of one site and its accessibility. Finding will be aimed at services and information provided by Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and their institutions. Testing of accessibility proceeds in two areas. In first area are selected pages tested for fulfilling the criteria stated in the public notice. In second area they are tested for complying the criteria which takes into consideration improvement of technology. Next is tested compliance with idea of one web site. All hypotheses are not met. Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and its institutions web sites comply only with hypotheses of one site but they do not comply with hypotheses of accessibility. Main finding is that Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and their institutions web sites does not comply with hypotheses of accessibility. It can lead to the worse usage of its web sites.
Translating at Central Government Bodies of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the translation process in Czech central state administration bodies - more precisely in the ministries. The theoretical part of the thesis presents a definition of the terms institution and institutional translation and specifies the activities and functions of individual ministries. Ministries can be divided into two groups based on the presence of a translation department in their organizational structure: ministries with a translation department and ministries without a translation department. After that, selected publications on institutional translation in national institutions and in the institutions of the European Union are summarized and a model of translation process in institutions is created based on these publications and adjusted to every ministry individually. The empirical part focuses on the results of the survey and structured interviews conducted in the ministries. The conclusions are presented for every ministry individually and then for the whole group. The models of translation process are compared and commented on. Subsidies to sport from the point of view of a subject from Prague 5

Title: Subsidies to the sports industry from the perspective of an entity active in Prague 5 Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine whether and to what extent it is effective to subsidize the sports industry through public sector budgets and whether obtaining grants is an important competitive advantage for entrepreneurs. This thesis should define and describe the basic concepts related to the sports industry and subsidies and simply and clearly explain the legislative changes introduced by the Czech civil Code valid from January 1, 2014. Methods: In this thesis, the method of analysis was applied. The data were obtained through in-depth written interview and from websites of individual ministries and organizations. Results: It was found out that that the individual agencies and ministries focus on certain economic entities through local or special-purpose criteria. In granting a subsidy, there are high demands of administrative nature for both the applicant and the provider. Taking into account the uncertainty of being granted the subsidy, the application may be very demanding - in terms of finance as well of time.
